There is a small family hops farm on Sauvies Island, near the norther edge of Portland, OR. A greenhouse was commissioned for the property, and Bridgeview Painting Co. was selected to undertake design and construction. A 10ft by 20ft site had been selected, and the greenhouse was to include a covered work area with shelving, thermal mass wall, and even a utility sink. An attached shed for the storage of chicken feed and various tools was eventually included, and a spigot replaced the sink in favor of counter space. The thermal mass wall included water filled bottles placed within cinder blocks, and poured in place with concrete to improve thermal retention.
